Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-08

This policy explains what information Footela (footela.com) processes, why, and the choices you have. Footela does not offer user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the guide.

Information we process

  • Technical logs. Our servers record IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted after a short period.
  • Push notifications (optional). If you turn on alerts, your browser gives us a subscription address and encryption keys created by its push service. We store them together with the edition, language, time zone and the preferences you chose (daily summary, reminders and how early). We also record the platform and device type to measure delivery.
  • App installations (optional). When you install Footela as an app, we record a random installation identifier, the edition, the platform, device type and browser family. This lets us count installations; it does not identify you.
  • Preferences stored on your device. Your preferred edition and whether you dismissed a prompt are saved in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.

Advertising and measurement

Footela is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads and measure their performance, including personalised ads where you have consented. You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. See our cookie policy for details.

Why we process it

We process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, push and installation data on the basis of your choice to use those features, and advertising cookies on the basis of consent where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Push subscriptions are deleted when you turn alerts off, when your browser revokes them, or when the push service reports them as expired. Installation records are kept in aggregated form for statistics.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or Brazil's LGPD), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. You can stop notifications at any time from the alerts window or your browser settings. For any request, write to contact@footela.com.

We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest revision at the top.
